I'm currently working on a thesis on Turkey's Relations with the US and the EU since the AKP came to Power in 2002. Specifically, I'm trying to establish if the problems in relations are down to "clash of civilisations" or is it just realpolitik.

I'd appreciate any help in trying to contact any MPs or military or other interviewees who might be able to speak to me.
I'm willing to travel to Istanbul in early August or late July. I'm particularly keen to speak to Ahmet Davutoglu. Any suggestions gratefully received.
